The adventure is about to start!

I can't believe that we are one week away from the big move. This month sure has gone fast. We have been trying to fill every moment that we don't work work running into friends and family, finishing up all the stuff that needs to be done and still finding time to sleep. Okay I am going to ramble some thoughts about what's going on.
We offically have a house (that we are renting-to start out with) in Eagle River, which is about a 15 minute drive to Anchorage. It's a cute 3 bedroom with a mountain view! I don't start my new job, in Anchorage, until Sept 13th. We are hoping to take 5-6 days to drive out there. Driving a U-haul, towing a car with a 2 year old and two dogs. Yikes! Hope it all goes well. Worse case we have more time if needed I just want a week at our house before I have to start work. (we are leaving on the 30th) My new job is going to be at Providence Hospital in Anchorage. In a Pediatric Infusion therapy-straight days, no weekends, no holidays, four ten hours shift per week. Can't wait to stop working nights, holidays and weekends. At the same time I can't believe that I am leaving the Mayo Clinic. I have been a Ped's nurse here for almost 9 years. My new job is going to give me a chance to do every thing I've never done at the Mayo Clinic. For example, I get to start my own IV's (mayo has a team for that) and do some case management. I also get to keeping doing all the things I love at my job-work with kids and work with the hem/onc population (giving chemo and such). I'm scared to be new again, but the people I've talked to sound amazing!! Okay I'm rambling there is so much going on this week. We are mostly packed and Axel has been running around yelling "we're moving to Alaska!!" all week. Hope he stays that jazzed for the 60 hour drive!! Yikes again. I'll keep you posted when I can, not sure what the WiFi service will be like during the drive.
