Ansel 8th birthday celebration

We celebrated Ansel’s birthday in Duluth. We ate good food, attempted to get outside and swam in the pool. It was a great weekend- I love Duluth any time a year.

This was my first time to eat at the rotating restaurant. It was fun to slowly spin around while eating. The view was amazing!

The hotel was connected to the sky ways. It was a great way to explore downtown and not have to be outside the whole time.

We found a cupcake place in Superior Wis . It was the first big mission of the trip - find good cupcakes!

Is that you Rona?

Crap

We have been lucky the last two years and have not had any one in our house get COVID-19. Until this week. Abel and Axel both had cold symptoms so I did a home antigen test. Axel came back negative but Abel’s resulted as positive. Aaggg. Abel always wears his mask and is the most compliant. His classroom has been bit hard with cases. I think there has been 6-8 cases in the last week. Abel’s symptoms were sore throat, runny nose and cough. So here we are. We put Abel into his room for quarantine. Per the CDC guidelines 5 days of quarantine days is recommended. Abel has done a great job staying mostly in his room and wearing a mask in the house when he is stretching his legs. His symptoms only lasted 2 days. He has been feeling good and getting bored. Today is day 5! So far no one else in the house has gotten sick! I hope I don’t give us bad luck by writing that.
