Art Fair

Scott West
signing his painting for us

Finally something on the walls
Brian was the night time security guard at the art festival in town last weekend.  He got to watch as the painter, Scott West, starting this picture.  I'd have to say this was my first real painted picture that I have.  I love it and it looks great on the walls.  I have so many empty white walls.  Art fairs are so much fun!

Wedding Fun

We celebrated Abby and Tony's wedding last weekend.  Brian was working so me, Tracy, Ann and the boys went.  The boys had so much fun.

The boys ready to party!

Of course everything turns into a gun :)

Uncle Peter
I learned how to tie a tie on the way to the wedding!  I love google :)

Ansel made so many friends

The boys loved dancing!   The wouldn't dance with me... but would with every one else!  They could have danced all night.  I really like my in-law family.  It was a great night! Cheer to Abby and Tony!  Best wishes for a long happy future together.

Tornados

We endured a tornado a few weeks ago.  It's been raining a lot lately and because of the wet grounds and winds from the tornado we lost some trees.  We were luck and had no damage to the house or cars, but we did loose 4 big trees in our yard.  It was a ton of work to clean up ans our little town is continuing to clean up all the damage.  I think we were one out of ten houses in town that didn't loose power that night.  Most people didn't get it back for 48 hours.  We were able to watch movies, take hot showers and cook a pizza!  I didn't take many picture because I was to bust cleaning up.  The town was crazy all weekend!
The force of wind is so crazy!

This beauty started tipping the next day and had to be taken down

Sure opened up the back yard
Me and the boys doing mud masks
Brian was running around checking out the neighbors damage and helping people get across the roads.  We had to drive in our yard to get home because a tree was blocking the road- like most roads in town.  The boys and I decided to try and relax and not think of the storm.  What better way to relax then take time for a mud mask! :)  I love that my boys will do 'girly' things with me.  I was so impressed with our little town and how everyone pitched in to help each other- clean trees, plug in refrigerators and clear out the roads in no time.  Cannon Falls is really a wonderful little town.  So crazy that we were hit by a tornado!

Grandma Bev

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

I will miss this home so much

My Grandma Bev died on August 15th.  She has been battling with cancer.  The last year she dealt with treatments and pain.  In the end she was at home with no pain, the way she wanted it to be. My Grandma Bev was an amazing Grandma.  She was smart, caring and always has been there for me.  I'm so glad she got to hold each one of my babies.  I'm going to miss our lunch dates and phone calls.  She was the best person to talk to.  I miss her so much.  I have so much to say about her but just don't have the words right now.  I really liked my Grandma.  Cancer sucks.
