Giant news to share !! I have a new role- Nurse Administrator!! I have to say- this is huge ! As an administrator I now am the nurse leader of a division , not just a single unit. I am the administrator for the Hematology/oncology/ bone marrow transplant/adult infusion centers/radiology oncology and inpatient palliative care. Wow that’s mouth full! I am the nurse voice and advocate for my division. I have 12 nurse mangers and all of their teams to guide and support through conversations and change management. I’m so honored to be gifted this opportunity! There are only 25 nurse administrator at Mayo Rochester and I’m one of them!!!
I honestly work at the coolest place that has allowed me to grow as a professional in so many ways. I have the best mentors around me and huge division to learn about. The cancer center at Mayo is truly on the forefront of innovation, research and patient centered cares.
Sharing pictures of Mayo. We are under going a ton of transformation and change. We are building new sites and building. It’s so cool to be a part of the changes.
Yes! Sometimes we have to remind ourselves as we are our own worst critics.
Ok I mostly wear dress clothes now - like 98% of the time but when I do clinical time on my units now I wear navy scrubs. New color for me!
Oh!!!! I get parking !!! What??!!! This is huge. I’ve worked at Mayo for a long time and don’t think I’d ever get parking :)
Again I’m so honored to be the leader of this amazing group of nurses. I have so much to learn but have really enjoyed the transition and the new practices. Again I’m in awe of the great people around me and excited to advocate and support this growing practice.
Keep learning and growing everyday! Be courageous and curious in life- great things can happen. I’m feeling super grateful and blessed.
