Harry Potter Book # 2

Finished # 2 book!! He likes to show his book mark also :)
Axel already finished the second Harry Potter book!! And has started the third!  He got through this one quick! For the kid who needed extra help with reading last year in school he is rocking the reading this year!!! Way to go buddy!  I'm so proud of you.  I hope he continues to stay excited about reading and learning.  (each time he finishes a book we get to do a Bakery run!)

Bakery treat for finishing his book!  Totally worth it :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving dinner

I had to work on Thanksgiving this year but we had dinner at Ann's on Friday instead. It's always wonderful getting a great meal.  Thanks Ann for cooking for us.
The Christmas tree is up!!

The Elf on the Shelf and her pet
Each year after Thanksgiving we put up our tree and start to get ready for Christmas.  We hope that our Elf- Red Nose returns again this year to help tell Santa how good or bad the boys are :)  The Elf has been a fun (and stressful for Mom) tradition that we have done for a few years now.  This year I am thankful for family.  Glad that most of us are healthy and have time to spend with each other.

I have continued to work on my thesis.  It's so time consuming and stressful.  I have summited my second chapter and will be working on the revisions this weekend.  I think every Saturday and most Sundays I have spent working on this paper! I try to stay focused and remind myself that it's almost done. Keep on writing.... April is not that far away :)

Harry Potter Book #1

Axel finished his first Harry Potter book!  I am so proud of the reader that he has become.  He already has started the second book too.  He hopes to finish the whole series by this summer.  I love that I have some one to share my Harry Potter nerd-dom with:)  Read on Axel....Read on!!!

No more cribs

The crib that all three of my boys slept in

Helping Dad take down the crib

Now a big bed

We finally took down the crib.  Ansel hasn't been sleeping in it for while now (since he started crawling out of it!) but we still had it in his room.  We bought the crib from the Amish store when I was pregnant for the first time.  Thinking back then I would have never thought that this crib would have been through so much! (3 kids and 3 moves- from Minnesota to Alaska and back) When we bought it we got the kit to change it into a full size bed.  Finally, we get to see it as a bed. It is such a beautiful bed! Axel loves it in his room! It was a little sad to know that we don't have a need for a crib in our house anymore.  I look forward to my boys growing and all the phases we still haven't experiences yet, but I will always love and miss the itty bitty baby phase.

School Pictures

I've been a little behind on my posts- darn Thesis is killing me!  I am slowly making progress on the paper- chapter one revised three times and chapter two has been started.  I may have a lot of grey hair by April :)  To make the day better here are some cute boys!
