turning.... 35!
Okay, I can't believe that Abel is 4. My middle boy- I have so much more to write about him turning 4. On another post.
Miss Stella- our niece. She turned ONE! She was not to jazzed about her cake but ended up sampling it a little.
Then of course Me and Krisha turn 35! Holy crap.... it's scary to even write. 35 use to seem SO much older then I feel.  Maybe that's good? Here's how I feel about turning- let's say it one more time- 35 years old! I got a little bummed on the day but I have gotten over it and reflected that things aren't to bad:
* I like my job.  I'm happy with the unit I work on and the people I work with are amazing. I have learned so much as a nurse working in the PICU.
*I'm half way through grad school.  My original goal was to be done by this age but hey- at least I'm close and still don't have any student loans. (some times this just means you have to go slower then I would want)
*I'm not totally unhappy with the pant size I am in. I know this is trivial but it does make a difference in how you view your self and feel. I know I am my own worst critic but at least I'm holding my own- I guess :)
*I have 3 crazy, beautiful, healthy boys.  What a blessing that I had never image would happen! I at least still have the energy- most of the time- to chase my boys around.
*I have a pretty good husband and partner in crime. He has known me for more than half my life now! (we started dating when I was 16 years old)

I'm sure I'll think of a few more things but that's it for now. So 35.... it could be worse, right?!  I'll try to only think of it as a number.  :)

Thanks to all our family for celebrating with us this weekend. It's always great to spend time together.

1st Grade Field Trip

Bus ride selfie

MN Children's Museum

Lunch Time

Como Zoo

I got to attend Axel's first grade field trip.  He was so excited that I got to be one of the volunteer parent's. I know that won't last forever so it was fun to be able to make it while he still wants me around.  We went to the MN Children's Museum and the Como Zoo.  Needless to say it was a busy day.  It was nice because each group only had 1-3 kids per parent.  Axel got to be with his best buddy Andrew.  The day was a little rainy but luckily not enough to cancel any thing that was planned.  Can't believe that my dude is almost done with 1st Grade!

Juice Boxes

Mastered the straw!

They each have their own way :)

So much fun being outside in the grass
Today was an early release day for Axel's school.  We enjoyed our extra time today hanging out in the yard getting some fresh air.  I love having out side snacks- like juice boxes- to messy for the house but just fine for outside. Ansel didn't take long before he learned how to drink from a straw. Love a day at home with my boys :)

Happy Mother's Day

My Mother's day gift from Axel.

I of course had to work on Mother's Day, I got home to a flower from Grandma Ann and this gift from Axel.  I love the hand made gifts!  I thought I would post it here and then I can remember it even when we don't have the book any more.
I'm so luck that I have 3 high energy boys that call me Mom!  Hope every one had a great Mother's day.

Finding my balance

I started taking Yoga again this week.  I have always played around with Yoga at home but have only taken a few classes at a studio.  Every time I remember really liking it.  I enjoy taking classes for a form of working out.  I have a hard time keeping myself focused at home.  I have finished my college classes for the year and now can take some me time in a different way.

After  finishing my first class on Monday I felt amazing! I had so much energy and was happy.  So happy that I returned Tuesday morning for a 6:15 am class.  (it works so much better for my schedule to get a class in nice and early) My muscle ache (I am so out of shape) but I can't wait to go back again.  I got to attend a class at the studio I use to teach dance in.  It has changed a lot but I have some many memories at that studio.  It was so much fun to be there.

I follow some amazing women who blog and have awesome work out skills. I take them as my inspiration to get get moving. So here I am making a point to take for me and get myself back into shape.
