Things Kids Say

I have so many funny stories that have happened to me only because I have entered the sisterhood of being a Mom. Before I had children I would have never imaged having to say or hear some of the things I have in the past 6 years.  I have forgotten to share some of the stories. Here's my attempt of telling some of the stories before I forget them.

Axel and Abel in the bath tub. Oh, how the bath brings out the best of them.  Things I have had to say: don't lick your brother, don't touch your brothers privates and yes you have the same parts you don't have to compare every detail.
Another bath story: Me: Axel why are you spitting on your brother? Axel: Mom, don't worry I'm only sharing my DNA! (yea, totally didn't know what to say to that one? Yes you do have DNA in your spit and it was nice to share- but spit?)
Me: Axel don't pee in the bath. It's gross. Axel: Don't worry Mom my pee is sterile to myself. Again, say what? How does he know this stuff? But again he is right pee is sterile- if it's your own. We then have a conversation about pee and that we shouldn't really drink it- unless we get stuck in a desert.
Abel loves to talk about 'Boo-Boo's'. (his word for Boobs) I blame it on breast feeding but it's cute and funny. Abel: Why your Boo Boo's bigger then mine? When do I get Boo Boo's like your's? He was crushed when I told him boys boobs don't grow like girls.
The other day my Victoria Secret magazine came to the house. Before I could even look at it Axel had cut out a few pages of and hung them on his bulletin board in his room. (right next to the dino he painted in preschool) I asked him about the girls and he said Mom they are beautiful, just like you. Luckily the girls were wearing swimsuits. That makes it better? Right? I had Brain talk with him more about that one.
Abel and Axel fighting. Abel: Ah...you kicked me in my Big kidney.  He was even holding his back in the right spot.
Axel and Abel talking. Abel: I'm thirsty. Axel: Ask Mom, that's why shes here- to get you stuff.

My crazy Boys
Life is all about our stories right?  Well mine might not be glamorous but it sure is fun! Can't wait for all the stories to come.

Family

All the grand-kids together

The Whole Gang
We celebrated my Grandma Bev's birthday last weekend.  The whole family was together so my Mom hinted that we all get in a picture. So fun to see how the family has grown. This picture has all of my siblings, their families,  Jill & Ron (aunt/uncle) and Grandma Bev. Of course my rents (parent's) are in the middle- the ones who started it all. Crazy that there is 7 grand-kids now! Always fun to get every one together.

6 Months

Ansel is 6 Months! A whole half of a year...
Sleepy Boy

Chubby Cheeks

New play center

Blue eyes still...

This Month:
Sleeping- You continue to be a good sleeper. Most of the time sleeps from 8pm to 7am. Starting to take better naps. Normally you'll give me one good nap in the afternoon for 1-2.5 hours.
Eating- We have started doing straight formula. My milk supply just gave up I guess. Super frustrating when I wasn't ready to be done and was trying my best to do what I could but my supply dropped about a month ago and then boom one day I pumped at work and got nothing. I drank a ton of water that day and still the next day nothing. I guess my body was done. Makes me a little sad because I didn't get to choose when I was done. But we almost (2 weeks short) made it to 6 months. That was my goal. A few new baby foods- applesauce, prunes & sweet potatoes. You seem to be more interested in food each day. You love watching us eat.
Other Stuff- Rolling over- both ways (from back to tummy and tummy to back),you get so mad when you are stuck on your tummy. Started to hold your own bottle. Giggles even when not being touched. I think this a so cute- it's really your personality coming out that you find stuff around you funny. You are a drool monster! Always have some thing in your mouth. You may be a thumb sucker? You seem to like your thumb this month.

1st Grade

Axel started the 1st Grade this week! He was excited and nervous. He told me that he forgot every thing that he learned last year. He was ready to see his friends again and not only hang out with his brothers.

He told me this year is serious- that's why he's not smiling

Now we are back to the school routine.  Waking up with alarm clocks (even on my days off), having to comb your hair every day, rushing to finish breakfast and making sure that we have matching clean clothes.  The house is so quiet with one missing during the day. I know the younger two and me will have fun but we already miss you Axel! Abel asks for you all day. (Axel wanted me to wake Abel up this morning so he could say good-bye. I think some else misses his brother even if he won't say it)
The 1st day-
Axel had a good first day. He said he likes his teacher- Mrs. Sabrowsky.
He said that he remembers how to read and his favorite part of the day was recess. Even though he got a bloody nose because he got hit in the nose with a Frisbee. A blood nose on the first day!
