Wilderness way

B and I got to hang out with the Lawson’s on Lake Vermillion. Our friends bought land on Vermillion a few years ago. Luckily we found out that their neighbors have a Airbnb that we can rent! It’s a prefect cabin- awesome views, hot tub, sauna and our own bathroom!

Venus fly trap

 Ansel's Venus fly trap is thriving! I didn’t know if it was going to stay alive but as soon as we got it out on the deck- it’s been rocking it. I wondered if he would get a big this summer. We have counted over dozen bugs have been eaten. It’s eaten a spider, a fly, a mosquito, and some other long legged bugs. So cool. Crazy carnivore! It has at least 12 heads now too! Hope I can keep it going this winter.

Ansel 5th grade - last year in the elementary school. 

Abel 8th grade- last year of middle school  

Axel 11th grade - a junior!

Wisdom teeth

 Axel got his wisdom teeth removed. 

All four wisdom teeth removed. He did really well. Woke up good, not much nausea and seems to be healing well. About four days after his face was pretty bruised. 

This was the first attempt. We tried to get his wisdom teeth out a few weeks ago in the clinic but his airway reacted and they stopped. They said they don’t have emergency management for kids down town (Mayo Clinic) so we would have to come back and have the teeth removed in the OR and St. Mary’s Hospital where they take care of kids more.
