Fun with food

Cheers to the Bourbon Butcher!
The Bourbon Butcher in Farmington is one of our favorite new-ish places to eat.  Super good burgers, smoked meats and a crazy fun drink menu.  There is a whole page of special sodas and lemonades! They also have a lot of fancy adult drinks.   If you haven't been here you should try it!

Dragon Fruit

Axel liked it.
The dragon fruit was pretty good.  It had a good texture and plain taste.
Abel loved it

Ansel did not like it

4th of July

Cannon Valley Fair!
We love having a fair in our town on the week of July 4th!

Big rides for the older boys!
Axel loves the big rides and couldn't wait to try them all.  Abel jumped right on the ride with his big brother but DID NOT like the ride at all!  He screamed and SCREAMED!!  After he was little white in color and ready to not go on any other rides.

It's so boring hanging out with the brothers

My attempt to get all three to look at me :)

Prize winners!

Axel won or lost a bet
Axel got to go to the fair with his buddies on the 4th.  He came back with this hat.  His friends mom apologized that he bought it.  When I asked him about it he said it was a bet to see who would buy it.  I don't think he realized how offensive this hat could be to women. I asked Axel so are you a Boob man?  He blushed and we talked a lot about winning bets, offensive words for women and how you carry your self in public.  Oh boy... it's just just not him.  Peer pressure has begun!  Yikes.  It was a minor lesson but started lot's of good conversations.

We were lucky enough to get some of the Co family to stay with us
Thanks for the visit!!

Red Barn Pizza

The Red Barn Pizza place

What a great way to break up the week.  The Red Barn Pizza is only open on Wednesdays in the summer.  You eat outside, bring your own supplies and carry out all the garbage.  It's such a cute place. There are horses and chickens on the farm. Which makes my nurse brain nervous for EColi or some thing gross :)  Next time I will bring stuff to wash our hands. :)  But a Coke in a glass bottle, snow cones and brick oven pizza quickly makes the night great.  We even lucked out and got live music too.  This place is totally worth it.  Will defiantly be going again.
