40 years old

 Holy crap I'm 40 years old!!  Wow, I'm old.  I remember my Mom being this age and boom here I am turning one of the ages that I thought so many years ago- wow 40 is officially an adult age.  Honestly, I was a little bummed on my B-day but not because of the age more because we still can't celebrate the way we would like to.  I really just wanted a haircut and a pedicure.  I would never have thought these two things wouldn't be an option for my b-day.  But here we are still in the middle of a pandemic taking any opportunity to celebrate each other.  So cheers to another year of birthdays!  Cheers to turning 40 and getting old!!   (I have a few friends that didn't get to hit this mark so yes it's good!)  Another year bites the dust but I am excited to see what the big 40 brings! 

Water slides and water balloons

Enjoying the nice weather last weekend Abel opened his water slide gift he got for his birthday.  The auto water balloon filling was so easy and a great way to have lots of water balloons filled quickly.  I will be trying those again.  It was so nice to be outside and feel the sun-shining.  Bring on summer.  We have officially finished distance learning- which could be another whole blog post.  We are SO glad distance learning is done.  It was hard at the end and we all learned that we would rather go to school!  Yay for summer. 

9 years for Abel

Abel turns 9!!! Abel is so sweet and still likes to give me hugs. He loves video games and doesn’t like to take showers (because you have to stop playing video games.) It was a hard year to plan anything. The candy store ended up being a great way to celebrate! So much candy! Happy birthday Abel !

We have been doing our best trying to follow social distance and staying home. The boys have hardly left the house since early March.  With the weather getting nice this will be harder and harder! The other night I busted the kids out of the outside for ice cream and a hike at Big Woods State Park. The warm fresh air was good for all of us!
