Summer time

I love summer time. I get to have all 3 of my boys home together. I know we are still new to the school routine- Axel just finished Kindergarten- but I like having my kids home.  Summer is easier. We all don't have to rush in the morning and all the kids get to be together. Maybe some day I'll wish for school season but for now I like the chaos that having 3 boys at home brings. (don't get me wrong I enjoy the days I work also- it's all a balance act!)

June is almost over- Boo.  Summer slow down, we are just getting our groove.

Soccer

I have officially become a Soccer Mom. I actually don't mind that label :) I don't drive a mini-van (yet), I don't wear a fanny belt and I DO get out of my sweat pants to go to my kids practice. No worries Axel I'm sure I'll embarrass you another time.
Axel's team nick name is 'High 5 Axel.' He has been really excited about playing Soccer. He loves that he gets to wear cleats and shin guards.  Last week at his game he even got the 1st goal for his team!  I'm so glad I was there to watch.  Axel was grinning ear to ear for the rest of the night.

I brought all 3 of my boys to the MN Zoo... By my self! I've been nervous to go to adventurous yet with all 3 kids.  I'm glad I challenged myself and went out.  The day turned out great!

The Canoe

Love the view
We bought a canoe last summer at a garage sale in town. We never used it and even thought about selling it because we got a good deal on it.  Instead we got paddles and took it out on the lake. Axel and Abel had so much fun. Abel was a little nervous once the boat started moving but soon relaxed.  Both boys dipped their hands in the water and could have stayed out on the water for ever.  Axel said "this is a fun day!"

Hold on boys!
I was just happy that I didn't tip us over while taking the pictures.

First trip a success! Can't wait for next time.

Another month has gone by! What you have been up to.

Personality- you love watching your brothers. You are a smiley happy baby. You don't cry unless you are hungry or really tired. You love to suck on your hands. You do not like tummy time! Starting to make a ton of noises.

Ansel's Baptism

We gathered together this weekend to celebrate Ansel's baptism.  Brian and I decided to do it outside by the river. Of course it was a little rainy but lucky the big rain drops held off until we were done. Thanks to all of our family for coming and being present for our new little one.

*double thanks to my sister Larisa for taking over my camera. Ansel did very well considering is was sorta raining on him.  Only one little cry.

Abel enjoyed the rain
Thank you to all of our family that came to see Ansel get blessed.  What would we all be with out our families and the influence they have on us and our children. I know we aren't super religious but I want to try and teach my kids the options that are out there. Once you all become adult and have sound reasoning (like when you are in medical school)  you can decide what you want to believe in. Some type of faith in life is good- we all just have to find what works for us. Here is a quote from pastor Carol that I wanted to share.

The Biggest Day
Life is 'marked' by big days: the day you were born; the day you first said "Mama"; the day you took your first steps; the day you went off to school for the first time; the day you sneaked your first kiss; the day you were married; the day you became a parent; the day you bounced your first grandchild on your knee. Life is peppered by these big days that mark life's passing.
But all of these, there is one day that stands above the rest: the day you were baptized.  For on this day, God swooped out of heaven and scooped you into his very own arms.  Like a grandma who refuses to lay her grandchild back in the crib, this great and powerful and gentle God has not let you go.  Nor will he.  Not ever.  On that baptismal day, you were given an identity and a destiny.  On that great, baptismal day, God's voice boomed through the halls of heaven, declaring for all the angels to hear and for all of time to bear: "This child is mine forever".

**Another Huge Thank you to Grandma Ann for letting us celebrate at her house. We couldn't have done it with out you. Or I would have had to work a LOT harder at cleaning my chaotic house!
