Easter

                                                                Happy Easter!

Our day started and ended full of chocolate. Just the way it should be! We got to visit with some family at my grandma's and spend some time with cousins. The weekend went to fast again but nice to spend a day full of ham and chocolate.

What to do?

It's spring now right? I sure was hoping for an early summer like MN got last year. I am ready to wear my flip flops, to wear shorts and hang out on our deck. (I didn't wear shorts the whole time I was in AK) But NO...the winter has to linger. Well when it's cold out and we are boried- let's make cookies. I'm so lucky have such good helpers/samplers. These are old pictures- don't think that I posted them before. Being stuck in the house decreases my picture taken also. It still was a fun day.  Soon spring will be here.....right?!

UBC

We spent the weekend at UBC (uncle Brian's Cabin). It was a weekend full of a winter fun. We played in the snow, built forts and hung out by the fire.  Had great company and watched a beautiful snow fall.
Axel- king of the hill!

Abel and Dad hiking to the A frame -old hunting cabin on the property

Abel loved the ride and the hot paks-fell right asleep!
Loved being outside

12 years

Brian and I celebrated our 12 year Anniversary! Okay well back on Feb 24th we did. I know I'm a little late with this one but some times life just gets away from you.We had a great date night. Went to dinner with some friends at Komi in Apple Valley. It's one of the Japenese steak houses where they cook in front of you. Super yummy food and good saki! It was nice to have the night to share adult conversations and actually sit and enjoy a meal. Thanks to my mother in-law for watching the boys. On our wedding it was a huge ice strom. The roads were yucky and it was hard to get around. This year was much better.

So if your in to that sort of thing the traditional 12 year wedding gift is linen or silk. I was really hoping we would get new pillows, which is still on the list, but instead Brian and I got really nice sleeping bags! I know what your thinking. Not super romantic but I was excited to order a real sleeping bag. And this mean we are getting ready for summer camping trips! Which we both love and I can't wait to get both boys out camping this year. We are planning on camping in Utah maybe or where ever the road takes us! The boys got sleeping bags also. So now we are ready for all this snow to melt so we can play out side with our camping gear.

Happy 12 years to you my love, Brian. Thanks for all the memories and the life you share with me. I can't wait to see what the next years will bring.

Zoo

MN ZOO
I always have loved going to the Zoo. I'm so glad my boys feel the same way. I have missed the MN Zoo. Anchorage's zoo was pretty small and didn't have monkeys. That's always the best right?
Hi Ahh Ahh's (Monkey)

Axel found DIino eggs?!

Abel had to sit on every bench!
I can't wait until the outside part of the zoo is open. Today was a fun taster of the summers at the zoo. Abel was so independent. He had to walk (didn't want to sit in his stroller at all) and didn't want to hold any one's hand. Luckily it wasn't that busy yet. Axel did a great job helping us keep an eye on his brother.
