COVID swabs and a sprained foot

Crutches are not fun

Negative

So brave and ready

Negative

Ansel had an exposure  in school. His teacher has tested positive.  Last Tuesday both Ansel and Abel were swabbed for COVID.  I knew I’d end up having to get the kids swabbed.  I was so nervous for them but they both did great. They were so brave.  After the swab I brought them to Mc Donald’s to get a milk shake for a treat. I was going to run in because I had to go potty. As soon as I stepped out of my car- wham! I slipped straight on my butt and twisted my ankle really bad. Ended up with an X-ray, a splint and crutches. Not they way I had planned my week to be. So I worked from home as we waited for the swabbed results  and kept off my foot.  Luckily both swabs came back negative!! My foot hasn’t been as great. I’ve been hobbling around and today is the first day I’ve taken steps with out the crutches. What a bummer. Hopefully this week is a better one.

All done with the swabs!

A little painting

Old color

New color

We ended up painting the other weekend.  It was more more work then I had planned but turned out really nice.  It was time to update and freshen up a little.  I have a few more ideas but I think it will take me a while to talk Brian into painting again :)

Hot Chocolate Bombs

Hot Chocolate Bombs for a cold Valentines.  We have seen them online but this was our first bombs!  They were awesome.  I got them at a candy store in Rochester.  They melted really good and the hot chocolate was yummy.
