Ouch!

Axel got 8 teeth removed!  Poor guy.  He is preparing to get braces and his mouth is not big enough for all the big teeth.  He had 4 baby teeth and 4 big teeth removed.  He did really good with the procedure and the healing has gone well.  Never fun to have stitches in your mouth.  

That's a lot of teeth!!  

Bronxosaurus Pizza

 We just had to try it! A 30 inch pizza!  Of course it was way to much for the four of us- Ansel was sick that night and stayed home with Grandma.  The pieces were so big they didn't fit on the plate!  It was delicious New York style pizza.  SO fun! 

Making a layered cake

 We have been watching a bunch of cooking shows lately.  The other weekend we thought, I bet we can do that!  So we whipped up a 4 layered cake.  The frosting was the tricky part.  It didn't spread like I wanted it too.  Brian saved the day by mixing whipped cream with the frosting I had.  This helped make it creamier so I could spread it around more. The top layer had a curve to it- not sure what it did that? The pan maybe.  The boys ranked it: two a  9.5 and one at a 7.  Axel said I need to work on the curb appeal.  For taste I got 9's all around.

Band

Axel plays the trumpet 

 First Band concert.  Axel plays the trumpet.  I don't ever hear him play at home :)  but he did play at the concert!  It was cute to watch.  I asked him if it's like church where we just hum along?!  He was like Mom...really I do play!  Ok then, let's hear it!  They played 3 songs and they all sounded really good.  I'm hoping he will start to bring his trumpet home to practice but either way it was fun to watch.
