 Went to the airshow this weekend. We got to see tanks, planes and old WWII automobles. Most the the planes were open and you could walk through them. I almost got in trouble over taking a picture of Axel inside the tank! I thought the army guys were going to have me delete it but I got to keep it. There is a lot of mililtary influence in Alaska so it was nice to see what a lot of them do and all the crazy vechiles they get to drive.

I love Alaska in the summer! Every one has fish and doesn't mind sharing it! One of our neighbors brought over 2 big red or sockeye salmons! Yummy. Red's are the best to eat. I couldn't help but cook some up tonight. We had one of our other neighbors come over and help us fillet the fish. Just like at the cabin....just a little bit bigger.

We enjoyed a nice day at the park. Axel loves collecting rocks (where ever we go) and Abel really played. He was crawling all over and loved the slide.
 I have forgotten to write that Abel has a few words that he can say. His first word was "this". He also says "Yeah" and "ouch". (that one I have only heard twice but it counts) He makes tons of sounds and his favorite one is da-da. Not sure if he is for sure saying daddy yet. I have also heard him saying mum mum-or some thing like that- I count this as saying Mom. Pretty cool though!

Next door.....Bear?

Brain was outside last night and heard a noise.

Yes, this is why you should never leave your garbage out and unlocked in Alaska! Brian has wanted to get to close  see a bear before we left Alaska. The bear was across the street and 3 houses up from ours.

4th of July

 We spent our 4th of July hanging out in the driveway enjoying a fire. The day was nice and mild-like 60's. Nothing like what MN had to deal with. I have to remember to enjoy the mild summer here beause next year we will be back in the heat.
