It's a start!

It has officially begun. Potty Training. We really have just started playing with the idea but Abel can do it when he wants. Some times I ask him and he will go then next time I ask him and he says "No, I not do that." I love that when he goes he has to get completely naked and he is SO proud. Now if we can just get a pattern of it. (He likes to read his potty book that has a little boy that brings his teddy with him to go- that's why his teddy is right next to him.)

35 weeks

Bump Watch:
35 weeks! We are really getting close now. We had a doctor's appointment today. Babies heart beat was 140-150. As you can see we had an ultrasound. Our doctor wanted to check on baby because I've had a few high blood pressures (just like at the end of pregnancy with my other two). My blood pressure has been high but not to high if that makes since. I have been sitting around 130-150/70-80's. Normally the top number- systolic pressure- should be under 120. I have gone down to work 8 hour shifts instead of 12's and it seems to be helping. Today at my appointment my blood pressure was perfect. I can feel at the end of my days that my body is starting to have enough- I get headaches and just normal aches and pains. But so far all has been good. We don't have another appointment for two weeks. With my last two pregnancies I was put on house rest at 36 weeks- so looks like I will make it past that! I hope to keep working so the next few weeks go fast!
The Ultrasound:
So much fun to peek in on my little boy! Makes me so excited to see him and hold him!! He was wiggling around. He is facing down- which he should be at this point. Per his measurements he is sitting at 37 weeks in size. The tech said it looks like he is about 6 pounds already! No wonder I hurt every where. He should gain about a 1/2 a pound a week until he is born. (4 more weeks because since I am a planned C-section we have our date penciled in at 39 weeks) He was opening his mouth, stuck his tongue out and sucked on his hand. So cute!! We also got to see him take a couple of breaths. Makes me happy that every thing is good and baby is healthy. I'm getting anxious to be done but I know this last month will go fast. For now Baby just keep growing and we will see you soon!!!

The Week of Love

Two of my greatest Loves :)

Big and the boys

The boys love their puppy Big. Axel wanted me to take pictures of him 'bonding' with his dog. That's what he called it. He said if I sit here and rub his head he falls asleep. Big is now 4 1/2 months old and weighs in at 60 pounds! He sure has been growing.

Abel loves his puppy also. He says "Big my puppy, not yours Momma!"

Playing in the Snow

We finally had a day to play in the snow! It's been such a cold winter. My boys love being outside and have been starring out the window in hopes of getting in the snow. A day above 10 degrees- watch out yard here we come. It didn't last long but it sure was fun.
Our puppy Big didn't know what to think! He also had a fun time playing in snow.

Just some thoughts

So for some reason my blog doesn't want to download any pictures for me today or yesterday. I'll try again later. This is what is going on with us. I officially finally started graduate school last week. Yikes and exciting. I should be writing my first paper right now but instead I am finding my zen on my blog :) I'm taking only one class- since I'm 32 weeks prego and it'll help me slowly get back into the groove. My class is Theoretical Foundations for Advanced Practice Nursing. Sounds boring right? Well so far besides all the boring theory stuff- which is a lot- the class it pretty interesting. As a part of my practicum for the class I get to meet a energy healer and get credit for prenatal yoga! Can't beat that. I am going to focus all of my healing processes on the pregnant body- since it fits my condition. It will be very interesting to see all the options out there.

The boys are doing well. Getting a little stir crazy with this cold weather though. We have hardly been outside to play because it's just to cold. It sounds backwards but we played out side way more when we lived in Alaska! The winters were longer but much warmer. (in Anchorage anyways) My boys love to be out side too so they are just itching to play in the snow. Hopefully things will get better next month? I finally got some cute snow pictures with them- I'll share once my blog is being friendly again.

On the bump watch: 32 weeks along. I am uncomfortable and achy a lot. The prenatal yoga helps though. I am still working full time and 12 hour shifts. I am very tired and worn out by the end of my day. I felt dizzy and had a headache the other day at work. Of course working right next to a bunch of nurses can be helpful- the had me sit down and checked my blood pressure. Well it was a little elevated. I called my doctor because all the girls at work said I should.  I ended up being monitored that night for a few hours. My blood pressure returned to normal and the baby is doing wonderful. It was so fun to hear him. I am starting to have contractions on and off also. You could see them on the monitor. Nothing that really stops me for to long but I do feel them. I have my next doctor appointment on Friday. So for now we continue on. I hope to keep working as many hours as I can for a bit longer. We will see how Friday goes. I always get frustrated at this point. I know it's to early for baby to arrive, I feel good for the most part just can't do all that I like to do anymore. Time to slow down Shanna.....
